Brian Setzer (born April 10th, 1959, Massapequa, New York) is an American guitarist, singer and songwriter.

Setzer came to prominence with his band Stray Cats, having moved to London from America in 1980, hoping their style and sound would appeal to a British audience. It certainly did, their rockabilly style and sound taking the charts by storm. No little thanks for this was due to Setzer's distinctive, huge, clean Gretsch guitar sound, an anomaly in the new wave-era, harder guitar sounds of the time. A master of chordal arrangements and sweet soloing, he continues to tour and write with the Brian Setzer Orchestra.
